Open the connection menu

The connection menu lets you manage wireless services—the phone, Bluetooth® wireless technology, Wi-Fi, and VPN.

DID YOU KNOW? The connection menu also displays the current day and date and the battery charge level.

1Do one of the following:

Drag down from the upper-right corner of the smartphone (above the screen) onto the screen.

Tap the upper-right corner of the screen.

2Tap a menu item to turn that wireless feature on or to display a list of menu items for that feature (see Turn wireless services off (airplane

mode)). If you see a downward-pointing arrow at the bottom of the menu, scroll down to see additional menu items.

3To close the menu without selecting an item, repeat one of the options in step 1.

Use the keyboard

1Option: Press to enter numbers, punctuation, and symbols that appear above the letters on the keys (see Enter alternate keyboard characters), or to move the cursor (see Text selection gestures).

5Enter: Press to enter a line return (for example, in a memo or in an email message you are composing) or to accept information you entered in a field (see Enter information in a field).

6Sym: See Enter characters from the symbols table.

Enter uppercase letters

By default, the first letter of each sentence or field is capitalized and the remaining text you enter is lowercase. To enter other uppercase letters, do one of the following:

Press Shift and press the letter key. The Shift symbol appears. You don’t need to hold down Shift while you press the letter key.
