Beep Signals

The OneTouch® SureStep® Meter uses beep- ing tones to signal certain steps in the proce- dure. However, these “beep” signals do not mean that the step was performed correctly. Three types of beep signals sound.

1. A single, short beep identifies each step in the test procedure.

2. A single, long beep accompanies error messages, a “HI” result, and certain mis- takes in doing the test procedure.

3. A three–tone beep sounds when the meter displays a test result and when the meter moves to the beep signal feature in set–up mode.
