Using GPS with Map Software
2With the phone’s displa y facing up, insert the data
cable’s connector in to the accessory co nnector,
until you hear a click.
3Insert the data plug into the COM port of your
laptop or other dev ice.
Make sure no other application is using the COM
port selected.
Make sure the COM port settings of your l aptop or
other device are set to th e following:
Bits per second: 4800
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: Hardwa re
To set your phone to send location information to
your laptop or other device:
1From the main menu, select GPS > Interface.
2Set NMEA OUT to On.
Your phone is now s ending location data t o your
laptop or other dev ice.
To stop your phone from sending location data to
your laptop or other device:
Set NMEA OUT to Off.
Each time you power your phone on, NMEA OUT is
automatically set t o Off.
