Multimedia Messages
For Sent Items
1From the Setup menu, select Cleanup > Sent
Items.
2Choose a clean-up option .

If you choose to delete messag es later, rather than
at the time you set the clean-up option, the type of
clean-up option you set determines when
messages are dele ted.
If you set an option that clea ns up messages
according to how many you have, messages are
deleted when you exit the me ss ag e ce nter after
setting the option.
If you set an option that clea ns up messages
according to how old the me ss age s ar e, mes sa ges
are deleted when you power on your phone.
Managing Memory
All messages in th e Inbox, Drafts, and Sent Items
share the same memory space.
Note:The content of a message in the Inbox is
not stored in your ph one’s memory until
the message is read. Unread messages
use very little memo ry.
To view your used memory, fr ee memory, and
memory capacity:
1From the main menu, sele ct Messages.
2With [Create Message] highl ighted, press m.
3Select Setup > Memory Size.
Tip:T his option is availabl e from many
context-sensitive menus when you are
using MMS.
To free memory, delete messages.
To delete many messages at once, see “Deleting
All Messages” on page 82.
To set messages to be de leted automatically, see
“Setting the Clean-up Option” on page 80.
