Messages
SMS Messages
Short Message Service (S MS) mes sa ges are sh ort
text messages, also called text and numeric
messages. You can send SMS messages through
any email account or on www.boostmobile.com.
Your phone receives SMS messages sent to its
SMS address, but does not send SMS m essages.
Your phone's SMS address is your
PTN@myboostmobile.com.
If your phone is powered of f when you receive a
message, your phone notifies you the next time
you power it on. If you are out of your coverage
area, your phone alerts you w hen you return to
your coverage area.
Your phone attempts t o deli ve r the se mes sa ge s for
up to 7 days.
Receiving a Me s s a ge
When you receive a text and numeric message,
New Text Message appears on the display.
To view the message:
1Press A under Read.
2If the message fills more than one s creen, scroll
to read it.
3To keep the message, pres s O.-or-
To delete the message, s croll to the end of the
message, then press A under Delete.
To dismiss the me ssage notification:
If the flip is closed, pres s ..-or-
If the flip is open, pres s A under Back or close
the flip.
This icon w appears on the display, reminding
you that you have a new messag e.
Reading from the Message Center
1From the main menu, sele ct Messages > SMS.
2Select the message you want to read.
3If the message fills more than one s creen, scroll
to read it.
4To keep the message, pres s O.-or-
To delete the message, s croll to the end of the
message, then press A under Delete.
