Getting Started
When you receive your ph one, the SIM PIN is 0000.
Change your PIN to prevent fraudulent use of the
SIM card (see “Chang ing the PIN” on pag e 16).
As your phone connects t o the network, you will see
a welcome message and a connecting message.
When the idle screen appe ars, the phone is ready to
use.

Enabling Over-the-Air Security
To receive Over-the- Air Radio Service Sof tware
(OARSS)Security you must enable security the f irst
time you power on your phone or within 10 days of
first activation of your phone.
1Press A under Ok.
Note:If you press A under Later, the idle
screen will appear. The next time you
select Web from the main menu , you wil l be
prompted to enable secu rity before you can
use Boost MobileTM Wireless Web services.
2You are prompted to enable security. Press A
under Yes. A series of screens and then th e
default homepage dis plays.
3Press e to return to the idle s creen.
Within 24 hours of enab ling security, you wil l receive
a Web alert containing your Personal Tele phone
Number (PTN), Boost MobileTM Customer Care
number, and Boost W alkie-TalkieTM number.
