adequately shielde d from RF energy. You r physician

Use While Driving

Check the laws and regulations on the use of radio
products in the area w here you drive. Alw ays obey
them.
When using the radio product while driving, please:
Give full attention to dr iving and to the road.
Use hands-free operatio n, if available.
Pull off the road and park before making or
answering a call if dr iving conditions so requ ire.

Operational Warnings

For Vehicles with an Air Bag

Do not place a portable r a di o pr od uct i n t he are a o ve r
the air bag or in th e air bag deploymen t area. Air
bags inflate with great force. If a portable radio is
placed in the air bag de pl oy men t ar ea an d th e a ir bag
inflates, the radio product may be pr opelled with
great force and ca use serious injury to occupants of
the vehicle.

Potentially E xplosive Atmo spheres

Turn off your radio product prior to ent ering any area
with a potentially expl osive atmosphere, unless it is a
radio product type especially qualifie d for use in such
areas as “Intrinsic ally Safe” (for exam ple, Factory
Mutual, CSA, or UL approved). Do not remove,
install, or charge batteries in such are as. Sparks in a
potentially explosiv e atm o sp here can cause an
explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even
death.
Note: The areas with potentially exp losive
atmospheres referred to above include
fueling areas such as below decks on
boats, fuel or chemical transfer or
storage facilities, areas where the air
contains chemicals o r particles, such as
grain, dust or metal powders, an d any
