Receiving Calls
A Boost Walkie-TalkieTM call ends automa tically if
there is no activity on the call for a few seconds.
Tip:To l et someone know you want to talk to h im
or her on a Boost Walkie-TalkieTM call, send
a call alert. See “Call Alerts” on page 27.

Dialing Boost Walkie-TalkieTM Numbers

Every Boost Walkie-TalkieTM number has 3 parts —
an area ID, a network ID, and a member ID — with
an asterisk between each of these parts. For
example: 999*999*9999.
When you place a Boost Walkie -TalkieTM call, you
must enter the whole Boost Walkie-TalkieTM num ber
including the asterisks.
Tip:Whe n yo u st o re a Boost Walkie-TalkieTM
number in Contacts it is good practice to
include the whole Boost Walkie-TalkieTM
number including the asterisks in case you
travel with your phone, or an oth er Boost
Walkie-TalkieTM user whom you are try ing to
reach travels with their phone, outside of
your network.

Phone Calls

When you receive a phone call, your phone rings,
vibrates, or lights up it s backlight.
Answering
If the flip is closed, press t.-or-
Open the flip. -or-
Press s.-or-
Press O.-or-
Press A under Yes.-or-
Press any number key .
To answer a call by opening the flip, you must have
the Flip to Ans fea ture turned on (see “Setting Flip
Actions” on page 50). To a nswer a call by pressing
any number key, you must have the Any Key Ans
feature turned on (see “Phone Calls Features” on
page 138).
Sending to Voice Mail
If the flip is closed, press ..-or-
