2.2 Making Calls
2.2.8To Access Another Party Directly from Outside (Direct Inward System Access [DISA])
This feature is possible if an optional card KX- TD61291 is installed in the main unit. This feature allows an outside caller to access specific system features as if the caller is an extension in the system. The caller can have direct access to feature such as:
• Placing an incoming call to an extension or operator. The caller also has the option of dialling the route for an extension using 1 digit number (DISA Automated Attendant (AA) number) via DISA calls.
• Calling an external party.
An outgoing message greets the caller and gives information about how to access an extension. You do not need the operator's assistance.
You may not be able to access the features without a DISA user code depending on the security mode. Non Security Mode: Any caller can make outside or intercom calls.
Trunk Security Mode (Default): A
All Security Mode: A
This prevents the caller from making unauthorised calls. However, when making an outside call by Call Forwarding – to Outside (CO) Line, the call is allowed (exception). Ask your manager for the mode assigned to your system.
•An optional voice message card
