To remove discs from TYPE2 cartridges

With a pen or other pointed object, push in the cartridge’s locking pin to break it free and remove it.

Use a pointed object to press on the latch in the hole on the left side and open the cover.

Remove the disc horizontally, taking care not to soil or damage the disc.

Label side

When storing discs

Match the label side of the disc with the label side of the cartridge and insert fully.

Check the setting of the write-protect switch after closing the cover.

Handling precautions

Do not try to open the cover by force.

Do not insert discs other than DVD-RAM into empty cartridges.

Take care that the disc’s recording surface is not contaminated with fingerprints, dirt, dust, scratches, or liquids. Do not write on the recording surface.

Write on the label side of the disc only with a soft, oil-based felt pen. Do not use ballpoint pens or other hard writing implements.

Do not attach other labels or protective covers. Do not use coatings.

Clean the disc with the special DVD-RAM/PD disc cleaner, part number LF-K200DCA1 and the cleaning liquid. Do not use benzine, thinners, anti-static fluids, or any other solvent.

Return discs to their cartridges when you are not using them.

Do not drop or bend discs.
