TruePort I/O

API Over TruePort Only

If you have a custom application that talks to a serial port, you can use TruePort as a virtual serial port to communicate with the IOLAN over the network to access I/O data using the Perle API. You also have the option of enabling SSL as a security option to encrypt the data that is communicated between the IOLAN and the host machine (SSL/TLS must be configured in the Server settings and on the TruePort host). See Accessing I/O Data Via TruePort on page 275 for more information on the API.)
