#When a subwoofer is connected to the rear output, set for subwoofer SUB. W.

#When the rear output setting is SUB. W, you cannot change the subwoofer controller.

3Touch c or d on the PREOUT setting to switch the subwoofer output or non fading output.

Touch c to select subwoofer output and SUB.W appears in the display. Touch d to se- lect non fading output and FULL appears in the display.

Mixing navigation voice/beep and audio sound Notes

!Even if you change this setting, there is no output unless you turn the nonfading output (refer to Using nonfading output on page 86) or subwoofer output (refer to Using subwoofer output on page 86) in the audio menu on.

!If you change the subwoofer controller, sub-

woofer output and nonfading output in the audio menu return to the factory settings.108 En

Switching the sound muting/attenuation

Sound from this system is muted, attenuated or mixed automatically in the following cases:

!When a call is made or received using a cellular telephone connected to this unit.

!When the voice guidance is output from a Pioneer navigation unit connected to this unit.

%Touch TEL/GUIDE on the initial menu to select any of the muting, attenuation or off.

Touch TEL/GUIDE until the desired setting ap- pears in the display.

!MUTE – Muting

!ATT -20dB – Attenuation (ATT -20dB has a stronger effect than ATT -10dB)

!ATT -10dB – Attenuation

!OFF – Turn the sound muting/attenuation off

Manual background Notes

!The sound is muted or attenuated, MUTE or ATT are displayed and no audio adjustment is possible.

!Operation returns to normal when the phone connection or the voice guidance is ended.Manual background

Mixing navigation voice/AVG- VDP1 beep and audio sound

Mixing navigation voice/beep and audio sound

When there is a navigation guidance, you can mix the guidance voice/beep sound from a Pioneer navigation unit with the audio sound from this system. You can select either mixing both the guidance voice and the beep sound or the guidance voice only.

!You can operate this function only when a Pioneer navigation unit is connected to this unit.

!When the multi-channel processor (e.g., DEQ-P8000) is connected to this unit, you cannot use this function.

!We recommend that you select GUIDE to ensure quality sound.

%Touch NAVI MIX on the initial menu to switch the mixing of navigation voice/ beep.

Touching NAVI MIX will switch the mixing of navigation between ALL (mixing both gui- dance voice and beep) and GUIDE (mixing guidance voice only).
