Outputting the sound of this receiver to an external device

You can use the ANALOG AUDIO OUT jacks to connect an analog audio component, such as a tape player, and record the sound of the receiver’s tuner, etc.

Line Output setting

Use to select the audio down-mix method when outputting Dolby Digital multi-channel sound sources from the ANALOG AUDIO OUT jacks.1

	SETUP
1	TOOLS Press SETUP.
	ENTER
2	Select ‘Sound Setup’, then press
ENTER.
	ENTER
3	Select ‘Line Output’, then press
ENTER.
4	Select a setting.

Select one of the following:

•Lo/Ro(Stereo) – A simple stereo downmix (left-only/right-only, or Lo/Ro) is output (suitable for playback on a two-channel stereo system or on headphones).

•Lt/Rt – A surround-compatible downmix (left-total/right-total, or Lt/Rt) of Dolby multichannel sources is output, (suitable for Dolby Surround Pro Logic or other matrix decoding).

The L.OUT indicator lights.

5 ENTER Press to exit.

Note

1• When the Line Output is switched to Lt/Rt, the sound function will be fixed at the current setting and cannot be changed. The display will briefly flash Line Out Mode if an attempt is made to use a prohibited function.

•When the Line Output is to Lo/Ro(Stereo), the audio from the analog output jacks may be interrupted, depending on the operation.

•When using DTS multi-channel sound sources, output is in Lo/Ro(Stereo).
