Polycom RMX 2000 Administrator’s Guide

The creation of a new H.263 4CIF slide is supported in the IVR Service in

addition to the current H.263 IVR slide. If users utilize the default

Polycom slides that are delivered with RMX 2000, the slide’s resolution

will be as defined in the profile, i.e. SD, HD, CIF, etc.... If users create a

custom IVR slide, regardless of its resolution, the slide will be displayed

in CIF resolution.

H.263 4CIF Guidelines

• H.263 4CIF is supported with H.323, SIP and ISDN connection

endpoints.

• H.263 4CIF is supported in CP mode only. VSW is supported on the

RMX 2000 in HD only.

• Click & View is supported in H.263 4CIF.

• AES encryption is supported with H.263 4CIF.

• H.263 4CIF is supported in recording by the RSS2000 and other

recording devices.

• All video layouts are supported in H.263 4CIF, except 1x1 layout. In a

1x1 layout, the resolution will be CIF.

• For information about Resource Usage see Table 16-9 on page 16-37.

• H.239 is supported in all 3 resolutions and based on the same

bandwidth decision matrix as for HD.
