Fabric Manager Configuration

NOTE: This section assumes the user has purchased and activated the embedded version of the Fabric Manager.

NOTE: For the SilverStorm 9020, the Fabric Manager Configuration submenu is part of the EVIC and FVIC menu.

2.2.13.1

Automatically starting the Fabric Manager

To enable the Fabric Manager to automatically start at boot time:

1.From the menu, click Subnet Manager.

2.Click Configuration. The Subnet Manager Configuration window is displayed: Subnet Manager Configuration Window

3.To configure the Fabric Manager to automatically start with each boot, click Enabled.

NOTE: If the user wants to manually activate the Fabric Manager, click Disabled.

4.For MPFD 9080, 9120 and 9240 switches, in a redundant management configuration, the Start On Slave option should be set to Disabled. In the event that the Fabric Manager on the master spine is disabled, the Fabric Manager
