If you press the {Pause/Redial}key at the first digit, a redial occurs. See p.47 “Redial”, Facsimile Reference <Advanced Features> .

A pause is shown as a “-” on the display.

Tone

This function allows a machine connected to a pulse dialing line to send tonal signals (for example if you want to use a special service on a tone dialing line). When you press the {Tone} key, the machine dials the number using tonal signals.

Limitation

Certain services may be unavail- able when using the {Tone} key.

Using the {Tone} key with On Hook Dial

A Press the {On Hook Dial} key.

B Enter the fax number using the number keys.

C Press the {Tone} key.

D Enter the number you want to tone dial using the number keys.

Entering an E-mail Address

When using Internet Fax transmis- sion, specify the e-mail address in place of the fax number. See p.53 “In- ternet Fax Functions (by E-Mail)”.

Note

You can enter up to 128 characters.
