✤You can use the MEMORYFORMAT functions to completely
delete all images and options on the Memory Stick, including
protected images.
✤The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial state.
✤The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has been
formatted already.
Attention
✤If you execute the MEMORYFORMAT function, all images will
be erased completely and erased images cannot be recovered.
1. Set the mode switch to MEMORYSTICK.
2. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.
3. Press the MENU button.
4. Move the MENU SELECTOR to highlight MEMORY
and push the MENU SELECTOR.

The sub menu will appear.
5. Select FORMATfrom the list and push the MENU
SELECTOR.
6. “ALLFILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?”
appears on the screen.
7. Using the MENU SELECTOR, select the item.
■
NO : To return to previous menu
■
YES : To start formatting.
8. Push the MENU SELECTOR.
If you selected the “YES”, “COMPLETE!” is
appeared on the screen when the MEMORYSTICK
formatting is finished.
9. To exit the menu, push the MENU button.

■
If you want to format the Memory Stick on your PC, use only the
“Memory Stick formatter” supplied with the software CD.

✤Para eliminar por completo las imágenes y las opciones del Memory
Stick, incluidas las imágenes protegidas, se pueden emplear las
funciones MEMORYFORMAT (formateado de memoria).
✤La función de formateado devuelve el Memory Stick a su estado
inicial.
✤El Memory Stick que se suministra junto con la videocámara ya
está formateado.
Atención
✤Si ejecuta la función MEMORYFORMAT, todas las imágenes
se borrarán y no se podrán recuperar.
1. Ajuste el interruptor de modalidad en la posición
MEMORYSTICK.
2. Ajuste el interruptor de la videocámara en la
modalidad PLAYER.
3. Pulse el SELECTOR MENÚ.
4. Desplace el SELECTOR MENÚ hasta resaltar
MEMORY(memoria) y pulse el SELECTOR MENÚ.

Aparecerá el submenú.
5. Seleccione la opción FORMATde la lista y pulse
el SELECTOR MENÚ.
6. En la pantalla aparecerá el mensaje “ALLFILES
ARE DELETED! FORMATREALLY?” (se
borrarán todos los archivos, seguro que desea
formatear?).
7. Seleccione el elemento correspondiente mediante
el SELECTOR MENÚ.
■
NO : regresa al menú anterior.
■
YES (sí): comienza el formateado.
8. Pulse el SELECTOR MENÚ.
Si ha seleccionado "YES" (Sí), aparecerá la palabra
"COMPLETE!" (terminado) en la pantalla cuando el formateado
del MEMORYSTICK haya terminado.
9. Para salir, pulse el botón MENÚ.
Nota
■
Si desea formatear el Memory Stick en un ordenador, utilice el
“Memory Stick formatter” que se suministra con el CD de software.
