Setting Up Your Printer

Installing Serial/LocalTalk Option Card

For instructions on installing the Printer Options, see appendix F, “Installing Serial/LocalTalk or Serial/IrDA option card”.

Installing Network Printer Card - PortThru (for Network Printing only)

For instructions on installing the Printer Options, see appendix F, “Network Option Card”.

Installing Software

The following system requirements are necessary in order to connect a Macintosh computer to the printer.

•Mac OS 7.5 or higher

•Macintosh LaserWriter 8.x printer driver

•ML-7300 PostScript PPD

Installing LaserWriter Printer Driver

The LaserWriter 8 printer driver is standard to the Mac OS 7.5 and higher.

Check the Macintosh Chooser to assure that it is installed.

If it isn’t, use the Mac OS help system for information about installing it.
