5 Press Entering your area code (YES) to turn on Caller ID.

(To turn off Caller ID, press Manual background .)

6 The display briefly shows your selection and then the next option

setting. Press STOP to exit the option settings.

Entering your area code

If the area code must not be dialed when you dial a local phone number (within your calling area code), follow the steps below to enter your area code. When this is done, the machine will automatically remove the area code from local numbers in the Caller ID list (see page 111), allowing you to dial local numbers automatically from the list.

If it is okay to dial the area code when dialing a local phone number, you do not need to perform this procedure.

Note: Entering your area code in this step causes it to be automatically removed from local numbers in the Caller ID list (page 111). This is only required if you need to eliminate dialing of the area code when dialing a local number from the list.
