Using the Intercom Feature

You can use the machine and cordless handsets as an intercom system.

♦When using the Intercom feature, you will not hear your voice through the handset receiver when you speak.

♦It may not be possible to page another cordless handset or the machine when other cordless handsets or the machine are already in use.

♦When two cordless handsets are used for Intercom conversation, the cordless handsets must be within the talking range of the machine and the machine must be powered on.

Note: If a call comes in on line 2 while a cordless handset is paging the machine, neither the machine nor the cordless handsets will ring.

Paging the machine from a cordless handset

1	Press INTERCOM	on the cordless handset.	Cordless handset
			display example:
	The numbers and names of the other cordless		INTERCOM:▲▼
			2: BILL
	handsets appear (even the numbers of cordless
			3: SUE
	handsets that are not registered)
2			Cordless handset display:
	Press 0	on the cordless handset to
				INTERCOM
	select the machine.
				0: BASE STATION
3	The machine rings.			Machine display:
				INTERCOM
		Number and name
				1: BOB
		of calling handset

4 The other person picks up the machine handset to answer.

5 Talk with the other person. When you are ready to end the conversation, press OFF .
