Troubleshooting administration tool connections

Symptom

Whenyou install SMART Bridgit softw arewith IP binding, SMART Bridgit AdministrationTools
doesn’tconnect to the SMART Bridgit server.
Solution
Use oneof the following procedures to connect SMART Bridgit Administration Tools to the SMART
Bridgitserver:
lDirectingI P traffic to the SMART Bridgit server below (recommendedsolution)
lMovingthe server's IP addresst o the top of the IP settings list on the next page
lStoppingapplications usingt hes erver's IP port on the next page

DirectingIP traffic to the SMARTBridgit server

gTo direct IP trafficto the IP address bound to the SMART Bridgit server
1. Opena C ommandPrompt window, type hostname,and then press ENTER.
Note the computername that appears.
2. If you don’t know the IP address that was entered when thes erverwas installed, openSMART
BridgitAdministration Tools, and thens elect the Setup tab.For more information,s ee
VerifyingSMAR T Bridgit serverconfiguration.
Note the server's IP address in the IPv4 Address drop-downlist.
3. Go to C:\WINDOWS \system32\drivers\etc\, andthen open the HOSTS file.
4. Type your IP addressand host name on a new line at the bottom of the file.

5. Save the HOSTS file.
