2. Type cmd, and thenpress ENTER .

3. Use the ipconfig commandt o determinethe server’s IP address.
4. Use either the nslookup commandor the ping commandagainst the domain namefor the
SMARTBridgitserver to determinet heIP address that the network’s DNS returns.
5. Comparethis IP address to theSMAR TBridgitserver’s IP addressfrom step 3.
If the IP addresses aret hesame, t henetwork’s D NS is configured correctly.

computername or IP address.

Thefirewall must open port 80 for HTTP traffic coming into the server andgoing out to the client.

Configuring firewalls
Youcan install y ourSMARTBridgit server software behinda softw arefirewall, proxy server,
hardwarefirewall orrouter. For optimal performance,enableboth primary andsecondary TCP ports
anda range of UDP ports for Voice over Internet Protocol(VoIP) audio on the server.
lFirewallsf orthe server should allow inboundcommunication to the serveron all specified
ports.
