Class B Equipment
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,
may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful inter-
ference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and
on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following mea-
sures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.
Consult with the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician for help.
Always use the power cord provided with your machine. When an extension power cord is
required, always use a properly rated cord.
In Japan: 125V/15A
In other countries: Contact your po int of purchase.
If your machine is a 220-240V model, there is no need to attach a separate earth line since the earth
connection is incorporated in the power line. Plug it into a properly rated outlet.
Class 1 Laser Device and CDRH Compliance
This equipment is certified as a Class 1 laser product. This means that the machine does not emit
hazardous laser radiation.
Do not try anything which is not instructed in this User’s guide. An unauthorized operation can
cause injuries or damage to the machine.
This equipment is in the 2nd class category (information equipment to be used in a residential area
or an adjacent area thereto) and conforms to the standards set by the Voluntary Control Council
For Interference by Information Technology Equipment aimed at preventing radio interference in
such residential area.* When used near a radio or TV receiver, it may become the cause of radio
interference. Read the instructions for correct handling.
* This regulation applies only to Japan.
This printer is certified as a Class 1 laser product under the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services (DHHS) Radiation Performance Standard according to the Radiation Control for Health
and Safety Act of 1968. This means that the printer does not emit hazardous laser radiation.
