Call Processing

This section provides information on the pages that appear under the Calls, Transforms and Policy sub-menus of the VCS Configuration menu. These pages allow you to configure the way in which the VCS receives and process calls.

This section includes the following:

a overview of how the VCS searches for the destination endpoint

the different types of addresses that can be dialed to initiate a call

how to apply transforms to the address that was dialed, either before searching on the local VCS or when sending the search request to the Local Zone and external zones

how to use Call Policy to manage calls

how to set up your network to handle incoming and outgoing calls made via URI dialing and ENUM dialing

how to disconnect calls.
