6.7.4Copying Executable Files

If you obtained binary executable versions of the NTP daemon and its utilities, you will have to unpack the archive and manually move the files to the desired storage directory. NTP is commonly located in

/USR/LOCAL/BIN.

You must also edit your startup scripts to point to the location of the NTP executable you choose.
