El CHAIN BRAKE® esta desactivado (la cadena se puede moverse) cuando el freno es jalado hacia atrás y asegurado. Esta es la posición de operación normal (Figura 4-4A).
El CHAIN BRAKE® está activado (la cadena no puede moverse) cuando la manija del freno se encuentra en una posición hacia adelante (Figura 4-4B).
NOTA: El motor no encenderá si el CHAIN BRAKE® está en la posición de activado.
PRECUACION

El CHAIN BRAKE® es un mecanismo de seguridad el cual es activado si se aplica presión contra la mani- ja o cuando, en el evento de un contragolpe, la mano del operador golpea la palanca. Cuando el CHAIN BRAKE® es activado, el movimiento de la cadena se detiene abruptamente y la fuente de poder del motor es cortada inmediatemente.
El propósito del CHAIN BRAKE® es el de reducir la posibilidad de una lesión debida a un contragolpe. El CHAIN BRAKE® de cualquier manera, no puede proveer la cantidad de protección si la sierra es operada sin precaución.

NOTE: The motor will not start if the CHAIN BRAKE® is in the engaged position.
The CHAIN BRAKE® is engaged (chain cannot move) when the brake is in forward position (Figure 4-4B).
The CHAIN BRAKE® is disengaged (chain can move) when the brake is pulled back and locked. This is the normal running position (Figure 4-4A).
The purpose of the CHAIN BRAKE® is to reduce the possibility of injury due to kickback. The CHAIN BRAKE® cannot, however, provide the measure of intended protection if the saw is carelessly operated.
The CHAIN BRAKE® is a safety feature which is activated if pressure is applied against the guard or when, E in the event of kickback, the operator’s hand strikes the lever. When the CHAIN BRAKE® is activated, chain N movement abruptly stops and the power supply to the motor is immediately cut off.
