4-1. TO START SAW

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Make sure the CHAIN BRAKE® IS DISENGAGED. The motor will not start if the CHAIN BRAKE® is in

 

 

the ENGAGED position. Disengage the CHAIN BRAKE® by pulling backward toward the motor (Figure

E

Ensure the extension cord is of the proper size and type for your saw.

2. Plug the cord (A) into the appropriate size extension cord (B) (see Figure 3-7). Plug the extension cord

into a 110/120 volt AC, 15 AMP receptacle (Figure 4-1B).

Make sure the extension cord does not come in contact with the guide bar and saw chain.

 

3. Grip the saw with both hands, left hand holding the front /handle (DO NOT HOLD CHAIN BRAKE®) and

 

 

the right hand holding the rear handle. Thumbs and fingers should encircle both handles (Figure 4-1C).

S’assure que le prolongateur est d’une dimension et d’un modèle appropriés pour votre tronçonneuse.

 

2. Insérer le câble (A) dans un prolongateur (B) aux dimensions adéquates (voir Figure 3-7). Brancher

prolongateur dans une prise électrique de 110/120 c.a. volts et de 15 ampères (Figure 4-1B).

S’assurer que le prolongateur n’entre pas en contact avec le guide-chaîne et la chaîne de la tronçonneuse.

3. Tenir fermement la tronçonneuse des deux mains, la main gauche sur la poignée avant et la main droite sur la poignée avant eet la main droite sur la poignée arrière (NE PAS TENIR [LE FREIN] CHAIN BRAKE®.) Les pouces et les doigts doivent être bien refermés sur les deux poignées (Figure 4-1C).
