13START Key: Press the START key to initiate the operation indicated on the display or to confirm information you have entered into the display.

14ALARM Indicator: When there is a problem, this indicator lights (red) and an alarm sounds. To turn the alarm indicator off, press the STOP key and correct the problem.

151 / CAPS key (One-Touch key 1): Pressing this key allows you to change from upper to lower case text when programming or entering character text into your machine.

165 / SPACE key (One-Touch key 5): Use this key to enter spaces while programming infor- mation into your machine. Spaces are used to make programmed entries easier to read.

Spaces have no effect on dialing. Use the PAUSE key to insert pauses into the dialing process.

176 / DELETE key (One-Touch key 6): Use this key to delete characters or numbers while programming information into your machine. Pressing DELETE deletes the character the cursor is sitting under and all characters to the right of the cursor position are moved to the left.

187 / PAUSE key (One-Touch key 7): Use this key to enter automatic 3-second pauses in dialing when programming telephone numbers. Pauses in programmed telephone numbers are indicated by a “P” symbol.

Example: Press PAUSE before the pro- grammed telephone number. The machine will “wait” for an outside or international line to open before dialing the number.
