Sending Faxes

Redialing a Busy Number

There are two methods of redialing:

-Manual Redialing

-Automatic Redialing

Manual Redialing

Press [Redial/Pause] to redial the last number entered with the numeric keys used to send a fax.

NOTE

To cancel manual redialing, press [Stop/Reset].

The last number entered with the numeric keys will be deleted when you unplug and plug the power cord.

The number entered for a voice call is not stored for redial number.

Automatic Redialing

When using memory sending to send a document and the recipient's line is busy, the machine will redial the number after an interval.

The machine allows you to customize automatic redialing settings to suit your needs. (See "Customizing Automatic Redialing Settings" ‘on p.4-6.)

NOTE

To cancel automatic redialing, wait until the machine starts redialing press [Stop/Reset] follow the instructions in the LCD.

You can also cancel automatic redialing using [Status Monitor]. (See Chapter 7, "Status Monitor," in the User’s Guide.)

Customizing Automatic Redialing Settings

You can customize the following settings:

Whether or not the machine redials automatically

The number of times the machine redials

The time interval between redialing

1 Press [Menu].

2 Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select <FAX SETTINGS> press [OK].

3 Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select <TX SETTINGS> press [OK].

4 Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select <AUTO REDIAL> press [OK].

5 Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select <ON> to enable automatic redialing or <OFF> to disable it.

If you selected <OFF>:

Press [OK].
