Remove dirt and dust with a soft dry cloth. Never use detergents as these may damage the plastic parts of the flashgun!
Forming the flash capacitor
For technical reasons it is necessary to switch on the mecablitz for approx. 10 minutes every three months and to fire a few flashes (the capacitor of the mecablitz chan- ges physically if the flash unit is not switched on for an extended period).
The batteries must supply sufficient power for flash rea- diness to be indicated at the latest within 1 minute after the mecablitz was switched on.

•Have the batteries been correctly loaded?
•Are the batteries exhausted?
•Has the flash unit automatically switched itself off?
•Is there synch contact with the camera?
•Has the SLAVE function selector l been set at „0“?
•The hot shoe is deactivated when a synch cable is plugged into the synch socket!
When the mecablitz 34
•Have the batteries been correctly loaded?
•Are the batteries exhausted?
•Has the flash unit automatically switched itself off?
•Is the sensor for cordless flash operation receiving a light pulse? Change the location of the flash unit, stop down the aperture on the camera lens or diminish the surroun- ding brightness.

•Address 1 must be set on the master for the SLAVE fun- ction in the cordless Metz remote system!
