Chapter 3. Operation

This menu item displays date and time history of up to 20 status changes of the unit.

Port Status

Port Status is used for viewing the signals being monitored on the data ports.

Remote Port

Shows status of incoming commands on the chain-in port.

Configuration (CONFIG)

The Configuration menu is used to set the TSU 600 operational configuration. This menu includes the following items:

Network (NI)

This item is selected to set all of the parameters associated with the network interface located in the base unit.

Unit

Unit is used to set the TSU 600 control port baud rate and to set up the dial out function for network alarm traps.

Map Exchange (Map XCHNG)

This item sets up and activates an automatic DS0 map switch based on time of day.

Map In Use

This item is used to display and manually switch the DS0 map being used.

DS0 Map: A (B)

Selects DS0 Map (A or B) to designate which DS0s are assigned to which data port.

Port Configuration (Port Config)

This menu is used to configure the parameters associ- ated with any data port in the unit.
