Chapter 3. Operation

The opening menu display as seen in Figure 3-7 is the access point to all other operations. There are four main menu items: Status, Configuration, Utility and Test. Each Main menu item has several functions and submenus to identify and access specific parameters. In the discussions that follow, each Main menu contains a complete menu diagram to identify the location of each operation.

Opening Menu Functions

Status

The Status menu provides the ability to view the status of the TSU 600 operation. This menu includes the following items:

Network Interface Performance Reports (NI PERF

RPTS)

Use this menu item to display user data on the NI Perf

Rpts in compliance with ANSI T1.403 and AT&T

Document TR54016.

Network Interface (NI) Errors

NI Errors indicate which errors are being detected at the network interface.

Active Alarms

This menu item displays current alarms which are currently reported by the TSU 600.
