48 - PowerBook G4 (17-inch) Take Apart SuperDrive

Procedure

1. Grasp the SuperDrive ﬂex cable connector, where shown, and rock from side to side

while pulling up, to disconnect it.

Warning: Do not pull up on the end of the ﬂex cable connector or the cable may

separate from the connector.

2. Remove the four screws.

3. Carefully lift and guide the drive out.

Important: Avoid pulling on the backup battery flex cable.
