2.On the back side of the logic board, remove the existing rectangular thermal pad covering two chips, shown below.

Important: If the pad is not on the board, check the underside of the top case and remove.

3.From the Thermal Pad Kit (076-1033) install the rectangular shaped pad over the two chips on the replacement logic board, where shown below.

Note: Avoid unnecessary contact with either side of the thermal pad as dirt and body oils reduce the thermal pad's conductivity.
