The MAX 5000XL requires routine cleaning to keep the test chamber free of excess Manual background sample material. The chamber interior should be cleaned when needed to eliminate the buildup of sample material. To clean debris from the chamber’s

interior:

Switch the main power switch OFF.

Use a vacuum line, portable vacuum cleaner, or a small paintbrush to remove debris from the area around the balance cover and pan support stem.

A compressed air line or canned air is not recommended since debris migrates into the system's interior and settles in the electronic components and balance stem.

Do not clean the shroud or heater element with a brush, vacuum, cleaner liquid, or any object. Use the “Oven Chamber Cleaning” procedure.
