10.4. Oven Chamber Cleaning

This selection is the start of an oven cleaning process that burns off most residue build up in the oven. Similar to the self-cleaning mode in a home oven, the process turns the heating elements on to reach an oven temperature of 550º C in less than 22 minutes. The oven cleaning cycle lasts a total of 45 minutes. The heat generated makes the top of the instrument hotter than normal and extreme caution should be used to prevent injury until the instrument has cooled down after the cleaning cycle.

From the MAIN MENU, select CALIBRATION MENU and

OVEN SELF CLEANING.

Press [ENT]. The screen display will provide instructions as illustrated.

When the pan support has been gently removed (see page 82), close the lid and press [GO].

cycle, the screen will display

“OVEN SELF CLEANING IS DONE.”

Press [OK] or [ESC] to return to
