Storage
Follow the procedure below to put the Rugged PDA into storage.
If you have used the Rugged PDA for a long period, it will have become dusty. We recommend cleaning it before putting it into stor- age.You can find information about cleaning in the previous section “Maintenance and Care.”

Back up all the data on the Rugged PDA to a computer if it is neces- sary.
Turn off the power, remove all cables and remove the Rugged PDA
from the Basic Cradle and AC adaptor.
Remove the battery pack and insulate the battery pack terminals with
cellophane tape when you store it.
Carefully package the Rugged PDA so it does not get dirty or dam-
aged. The box that the Rugged PDA originally came in is a good box into which it can be packed.
Consumables
The following items are consumables.
You will need to inform your original dealer or authorized CASIO distributor of the model number of your unit when purchasing the stylus and battery pack.
Stylus
•Purchase a new stylus whenever the tip of your stylus becomes damaged.
Battery Pack
•Long use of the battery pack causes it to deteriorate and lose its ability to recharge. If you feel your battery pack is not providing enough operating time, it may be time to contact your dealer or authorized CASIO distributor about purchasing a new one.
The Rugged PDA includes components that have a limited service life (LCD, etc.). Such components require replacement after very long use.
