"Reset" is the same thing as restarting a computer. Resetting the Rugged PDA will result in loss of any input or edited data that has not been saved yet, but saved data and settings are, as a rule, retained.
• Whenever possible, be sure to quit all programs ( ➔ Settings ➔ System ➔ Memory ➔ Running Programs) before resetting.
•Though saved data is normally not lost when you reset the Rug- ged PDA, certain data abnormalities or other problems can cause all data to be cleared from memory. Whenever possible, it is rec- ommended that you back up data to a memory card or some other medium before resetting.
