8. Release the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) connector that connects the

keyboard cable 1 (Figure 5-9).

9. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board 2.

10. (Armada E500 only) Release the ZIF connector that connects the

pointing stick cable 3.

11. (Armada E500 only) Disconnect the pointing device cable from

the system board 4.

12. Remove the keyboard.

Reverse the removal procedure described above to replace the keyboard.
