Removing the Touch Button

1.Prepare the computer for disassembly (Section 5.3).

2.Position the computer with the front facing forward.

3.Open the computer.

4.Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the upper right corner of the touch button away from the top cover 1 (Figure 5-5).

5.Lift the right side of the touch button away from the top cover 2 and swing the touch button up and to the left 3.

6.Disconnect the touch button cable from the system board 4.

7.Remove the touch button.
