Grounding the BlackDiamond 12800 Series Chassis

To ground the chassis:

1 Locate the grounding point on the back of the chassis (Figure 38 and figure)).

2Strip 0.5-inch (1.2-cm) of insulation from the stranded copper wire cable.

3Insert the stripped wire into the cable lug.

CAUTION

Be sure that no copper is visible between the lug and the cable insulation.

4Crimp the lug onto the cable according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

5Insert the screws through the lug and into the grounding point on the back of the chassis.

6Connect the other end of the wire to a known reliable earth ground point at your site.
