5.7 Setting Scanner Configuration

Deleting Scanner Configuration

This section describes how to exclude scanners from Central Admin management.

1.Press the [Config List] button in the Central Admin Console main window.

DThe [Scanner Config List] window appears.

2.Select the check box for the scanner to be deleted.

3.Press the [Delete] button.

DA confirmation window for whether or not to exclude the specified scanner(s) from Central Admin management appears.

4.Press the [OK] button.

DThe scanner(s) are excluded from Central Admin management.

zDeleting the scanner configuration does not exclude a scanner from Central Admin management. Therefore, the Central Admin Server setting in the scanner will not be "Unregistered". To exclude a scanner from Central Admin management, select the Central Admin Server setting to [Off] in the scanner.

zTo exclude multiple scanners from Central Admin management at once, apply a new set of scanner settings with Central Admin set to [Off] for target scanners.

zTo include the scanner in the Central Admin management again, re-register the scanner on the Central Admin Server.
