The archive

process

The following table describes the archive process:

1Define the archiving parameters (*.ARD file). The archive

parameters available depend on the type of data you are archiving.

2Execute the archive process, which creates the archive files (*.ARV)

in the Archive folder.

Note

This definition can be run interactively or on a scheduled basis via

Process Control.

3In the archive process, the system copies (or removes) data both from

the database tables and the system data store.
