Loading Envelopes into the Envelope Feeder

Print only envelopes approved for use in the printer (page 267).

1Pull out the envelope tray extender. The tray extender will help reduce jams.

2Adjust the width guides to the size of the envelopes to be used.

3Lift the envelope weight lever, and insert the envelopes up to the fill mark.

4Lower the lever. The envelopes should be angled as shown (A). Do not angle them the opposite direction (B).

Select the envelope size from the software application (if the setting is available), the printer driver, and the Paper Handling Menu in the printer’s control panel (page 283). To print by type and size of paper, see page 134.
