Appendix A Specifications

Envelope Margins

The following table gives typical address margins for a Commercial #10 or DL envelope.

	Type of Address		Top Margin	Left Margin

	Return Address		0.5 in (12.7 mm)	0.6 in (15.2 mm)

	Delivery Address		2 in (51 mm)	4 in (85 mm)

		For the best print quality, position margins no closer than 0.6 inch
	Note
		(15 millimeters) from the edges of the envelope.

Envelope Storage

Proper storage of envelopes helps contribute to good print quality. Envelopes should be stored flat. If air is trapped in an envelope, creating an air bubble, then the envelope may wrinkle during printing.
