1With the Macintosh on, insert the Macintosh Format PS Executive Series Utilities disk in the disk drive.

2Double-click the PSExec3.xx Installer icon.

3In the PSExec 3.xx dialog box that appears, verify the Install Location.

To change the Install Location you can either use the drop-down list box to display and select the appropriate disk, or you can choose the Switch Disk button to scroll through the available disks.

4Also in the PSExec 3.xx dialog box, choose Easy Install or Custom Install.

n Easy Install automatically installs all of the utilities, including the PS Exec application; the LaserWriter 8.x driver; the PDF, PDX, and PPD files; and the screen fonts.

nCustom Install allows you to choose the options you want to install.

The amount of available space on your Macintosh hard disk and the amount of space necessary for all of the selected options are indicated near the bottom of the window.

»Note: If you’re using Custom Install, you can click the small icon (it looks like an I inside a square) to the right of each install option for more information about that option.

5Click the Install button to begin the installation.

The installation takes approximately one minute. The Installer places the LaserWriter 8.x driver in the Extensions folder inside the System Folder and all of the other options inside a newly cre- ated PSExec 3.xx ƒ folder in the hard disk window. Also inside this folder is the Installer log file, which you can view to verify the installation.
