Horizontal and Vertical Controls

Horizontal and vertical controls are based on the leading edge of the paper. Although they are consistent, they may seem to be reversed in function, depending on the leading edge of the paper.

nMedia fed long edge first (for example, letter/A4) with por- trait-oriented printing—horizontal and vertical seem reversed.

nMedia fed long edge first (for example, letter/A4) with land- scape-oriented printing — horizontal and vertical operate as expected.

nMedia fed short edge first (for example, 11x17/A3) with por- trait-oriented printing—horizontal and vertical operate as expected.

nMedia fed short edge first (for example, 11x17/A3) with land- scape-oriented printing—horizontal and vertical seem reversed.
