Assigning processor affinity means that the processes in the group execute only on the specified processor(s). In our example, all of our Web services execute on processor 3 (the fourth processor, since they are numbered starting with 0). The ability to determine which processor(s) that different groups of processes execute on is a variation of physical partitioning (PPAR).
