Duplex

The optional Duplex unit is required to use this function.

This function can be used in two ways:

1 Sided 2 Sided

This mode makes two-sided copies from one-sided originals.

2 Sided 2 Sided

This mode makes two-sided copies from two-sided originals.

Limitation

You cannot use the following copy paper with this function:

Paper smaller than A5K, 51/2" ⋅ 81/2"K (possible on A5L, 51/2" ⋅ 81/2"L)

Paper thicker than 90g/m2, 24 lb.

Paper thinner than 64g/m2, 20 lb.

Translucent paper

Label paper (adhesive labels)

OHP transparencies

Postcards

You cannot use the bypass tray with this function.

The function might not work for

certain types of large size originals (such as A3, 11" ⋅ 17"). In this case, an optional 32MB memory or HDD is required.

Note

If you set an odd number of 1-sid- ed originals in the document feed- er, the reverse side of the last page is left blank.

When original images are copied, the images are shifted by the width of the binding margin. You can ad- just the binding margin or binding

By default, a binding margin is
