Configuring X.25
Always On/Dynamic ISDN (AO/DI)
Configuring the Answer profile
To configure the Answer profile to allow support of AO/DI:
1From the main Edit menu, select Ethernet > Answer profile.
2Open the Encaps submenu.
3Set MP to Yes.
4Set PPP to Yes.
5Close the Encaps submenu.
6Open the PPP options submenu.
7Set BACP=Yes.
8Exit the profile and, at the exit prompt, select the exit and accept option.
Configuring a Connection profile to support AO/ DI
Before you configure a Connection profile to support AO/DI, you must understand each of the
X.25 parameters related to the Connection profile.
The following list displays the X.25 connection parameters whose descriptions appear
beginning on page 6-8.

Configuring a Connection profile
To configure a Connection profile to support AO/DI:
1From the main Edit menu select Ethernet > Connections > any Connection profile.
2Set Active to Yes.
3Set Encaps to MP.
4Open the Telco options submenu
5Set Call Type to AO/DI.
6From the Connection profile menu, open the Encaps options submenu.
7Set BACP to Yes.
8Set both Base Ch Cnt and Max Ch Cnt parameters to the maximum number of channels
allowed for the connection.
9Set InterfaceType to X.25.
